I have reviewed the written responses and am providing the following information: • City of Bozeman—Montana DEQ accepts the written responses and corrective actions addressing the findings and violations in the following sections of the inspection report: 3.1.4, 3.3.4, and 3.5.4. Please continue to provide updates in annual reports regarding, but not limited to further development and implementation of the Enforcement Response Plan for Minimum Control Measure (MCM) 5—Post-Construction Site Storm Water Management in New and Redevelopment, changes and updates to the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), and inspection efforts for MCM 5. • City of Bozeman—Montana DEQ accepts the written responses addressing the Areas for Improvements and Recommendations in the following sections of the inspection report: 3.1.3, 3.2.3, 3.3.3, 3.4.3, 3.5.3, 3.6.3, 3.7.3, and 3.8.3. Please continue to track and provide updates in annual reports regarding but not limited to new or additional Key Target Audiences, changes to the list of Non-Storm Water Discharges, efforts to implement Low Impact Development (LID)technologies, updates to Standard Operating Guidelines for the Parks and Trails District, and completed trainings. • Montana State University—Montana DEQ accepts the written responses and corrective actions addressing the findings and violations in the following sections of the inspection report: 3.1.4, 3.2.4, 3.3.4, 3.4.4, and 3.5.4. When completing inspections for MCM 4—Construction Site Storm Water Management, please be sure all Best Management Practices are installed and maintained in accordance with the specifications outlined in the City of Bozeman Best Management Practices for Construction Sites. • Montana State University—Montana DEQ accepts the written responses addressing the Areas for Improvements and Recommendations in the following sections of the inspection report: 3.1.3, 3.2.3, 3.3.3, 3.4.3, 3.5.3, 3.6.3, 3.7.3, and 3.8.3. Please continue to track and provide updates in annual reports regarding but not limited to key target audiences, methods to track storm water related activities, updates to non-storm water discharges and dry weather screenings, development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)for areas and activities under MCM—6 Pollution Prevention/Good Housekeeping for Permittee Operations, and completed trainings. Finally, Montana DEQ completed review of the Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP)for the City of Bozeman and Montana State University MS4 as part of the inspection process.The SAP outlines the necessary elements including the following: strategy, rationale, monitoring frequency, monitoring parameters, and monitoring locations. Montana DEQ approves the SAP. If there are any changes to the SAP, please contact Montana DEQ.
