A suggestion for consideration when the City’s charter next comes up for review. Change to a four ward
system divided along Main Street and 19th Avenue. A Commission of seven members. One commissioner
elected from each ward and three elected at large including the Commission chair (mayor). This approach
ensures that all voters are able to vote for a majority of the elected officials, including the chair (mayor) but
also that each portion of the City has specific representation.
