Due to Cindy Andrus's poor judgement & lack of ability to listen to valid concerns from tax paying citizens,
we now have a poisoned pond with dead fish on the corner of Davis Lane & Trout Way. I among others
reached out to her regarding the camper encampments all over town and the negative impact it was not
only having on our town, but our waterways. It was quite evident people living in these units were leaving
trash, tires, old appliances on our land, but also, most likely dumping there feces' and urine on our land and
in our waterways. The answer to my professional and honest letter was astoundingly rude, judgmental &
simply unprofessional. She actually called me after my response, but meeting for coffee and discussing
options she "faked" thinking were great, simply never happened. Even in the face of the situation actually
breaking the law, she still did not care. Her excuse was some lame Boise ID lawsuit and the fear she would
get sued. "We have no where to send them". Hmmmm, the homeless shelter opened in November, did you
"send" them there? NO. I suggested the fairgrounds & Porto potties, did you do that, NO. So now instead, a
beautiful large pond that people ice skate on, fish in & their children like to wade in is TOXICATED with
feces', the fish are dead & how are we going to fix it? Who is going to pay for this? Me with my tax dollars?
What if Cindy was asked to fork over the money? How about Cindy or any of you commissioners ask these
people to come camp in front of your house. Offer for them to dump their sewage on your front lawn? You
might get a little upset hugh? So why do you not represent your community the same way? It's despicable. I
would like an answer as to how this happened, what you plan to do to fix it, and when you are going to pull
half the broken down abondonded campers & trash off our streets and when you are going to start
following the actual law and making them move or towing them away. This has got to stop. I pay my fair
share of taxes. And please don't give me the excuse that these people are working & can't afford the rent,
its bull. If they are making a minimum of $20 an hour in Bozeman, living for free on the street in a $500
camper, driving a $500 car, where is that money going? Drugs, alcohol, gambling? Let's not perpetuate the
situation and find a solution. I pay my fair share of taxes, these people need to as well, and they need to
pick up their own trash and stop pissing and crapping in our waterways around town.
