HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3241 MPA intent-hospital "Traditional Neighborhood" -- -.------ .....-.- -".- --- COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3241 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONT ANA, STATING THE CITY'S INTENT TO REVISE THE 1990 BOZEMAN AREA MASTER PLAN UPDA TE BY ESTABLISHING A LAND USE ELEMENT OF "TRADITIONAL NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT" AND CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATIONS ON 485.98 ACRES DESCRIBED AS TRACTS OF LAND LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST ONE- QUARTER AND THE SOUTHEAST ONE-QUARTER OF SECTION 18, AND THE SOUTHWEST ONE-QUARTER OF SECTION 8, AND THE SOUTHWEST ONE-QUARTER OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH, RANGE 6 EAST, MONTANA PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, FROM "URBAN RESIDENTIAL INFILL", "URBAN RESIDENTIAL" AND "SUBURBAN RESIDENTIAL" TO "TRADITIONAL NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT". WHEREAS. Planning staff has processed an application for a Master Plan Amendment to revise the land use element by establishing a land use element to be known as "Traditional Neighborhood Development and to amend the land use designation from "Urban Residential Infill", "Urban Residential" and "Suburban Residential" to "Traditional Neighborhood Development" on 485.98 acres generally bounded by Highland Boulevard, Ellis Road, Haggerty Lane, Bozeman Trail Road, Kagy Boulevard and New Hyalite View Subdivision, in the 1990 Bozeman Area Master Plan Update; and WHEREAS, the Planning staff assessed the application in light of the criteria set forth for review of Master Plan Amendments; and WHEREAS, the City-County Planning Board opened and conducted a public hearing on an application for said amendment at its regular meeting held on May 19, 1998, taking into careful consideration the criteria set forth for review of Master Plan Amendment applications; and WHEREAS, the City-County Planning Board has continued its public hearing to June 16, 1998, to give the general public further opportunity to comment on the proposed amendment; WHEREAS, the City Commission is scheduled to conduct its public hearing on said amendment at its regular meeting held on June 1, 1998, to consider the applicant's request to amend the 1990 Bozeman Area Master Plan Update. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, that it intends to revise the Master Plan to establish a use element of "Traditional Neighborhood Development and to amend the land use designation from "Urban .' ;"~,.~ "-'--'----'---0:;::IIII"" -=-=--_-"::",:-:W::- - ,--- Residential Infill" , "Urban Residential" and "Suburban Residential" to "Traditional Neighborhood Development" on 485.98 acres generally bounded by Highland Boulevard, Ellis Road, Haggerty Lane, Bozeman Trail Road, Kagy Boulevard and New Hyalite View Subdivision, in the 1990 Bozeman Area Master Plan Update.
