public comment discussion.

Planner Rosenberg provided a brief overview of the Deaconess Demolition Application to the Board and
informed the Board that they were able to review and provide comments on the development projects,
but the Board does not have the power to make a final determination on the project. Staff proposed
that the Board make a motion to write a letter to send to the City during the public comment period for
the application.

00:38:25 Motion I move that the Historic Preservation Advisory Board write a letter for public comment
for the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital Demolition application number 21385. The letter should address
that salvaged materials should be used in the interior, it should strongly suggest that there be an
attempt to rebuild the façade or to use or replicate the façade. It should document the building with
photos, condition reports, and that information should be put in MSU Special Collection and that we
should recognize the historic value and the cultural value of this building in this way.

Mr. Holloran commented on the plan for the documentation of the historic site after the demolition of
the structure.
