Dear City Commission,
I am writing in oppostion of the subsidizing of the Wildlands luxury codo develpment. I understand that the NE
urban renewal board has recommendedthis. I do not understand why a project that wll
selling homes at 1.5 million and above needs subsidizing. Please explain this in detail. Why dont those dollars go
directly to affordable houseing projects or homes in the area? I do understandi that you may be consulting a “plan”
but do
be reminded that a plan is a guide and not a law. It is apparent that we need more affordable housing than we need
million dollar and more homes. This is impearative to keeping Bozeman
the city that it has been. The people that live and have lived in this city need to afford to continue living here.
These projects are forcing the common workers out. Who will wait tables at resturants, who will cut hair, who will
run small businesses that
give this town character. Do we have any guts to take a stand and maintain Bozemans integrity?
Thank you for considering to subsidizing affordable housing or projects that make Bozeman a walk-able and bike-
able community.
