Dear City Commissioners: I am confused as to your recent change in the covenant height of
the Canyon Gate project. I attended the meeting on January 11th where you passed anamendment to limit the project height to 50' but in your last meeting this was changed to "4
stories or 50 feet, whichever is greater." This "whichever is greater" language was nevermentioned in your original amendment.
On January 11th, at 2h13min Mayor Andrus and Commissioner Madgic
clarified the amendment to have the height of the entire project limited to 50 ft. At 2h17 minthis was again clarified by Mayor Andrus to be a 50 ft height limit throughout the project. The
amendment was passed unanimously at 2h18min.
How did this item change with no explanation or public comment? I would like this errorcorrected immediately. The wording of "whichever is greater" completely changes the
amendment and potential scope of the project.
