Hello, I’m a neighbor to the Canyongate project, and when voted on by the commission, it was voted and approved on to have a 50 ft restriction. At the recent meeting that was changed to 4 stories, or 50ft, whichever is greater.... that’s not cool, I’m a contractor, and a 4 story commercial building can be 11ft per story, with easily a 16 ft high truss/roof height, or more, which adds up to 60 ft. Hold to your 50 ft restriction! Not cool. You are already trying to make the city limits dense housing where it doesn’t belong. Don’t go back on your word and cave to the developer, trust me, he is going to have an incredibly profitable project with the 50 ft restriction... Also as to caving for his suggestion that he will have “attainable” housing, let’s see if he even has any apartment for less than 1M... I will send you the listings when they come out to remind you that these “attainable units” were your rationale for approving this misplaced project. Thanks for hearing our opinions.
