Burkle - Appeal number 22005 (North Central)From:Laura Burkle To:Agenda Cc:Charlie DeTar Subject:Appeal number: 22005 Date:Sunday, March 6, 2022 7:56:53 AM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. We are in full support of Appeal 22005, which asks the City to overturn application 21029 and 21165 'The Ives.' We agree that the MSP does not meet the letter, intent, or spirit of the NCOD due to its massive scale and lack oftransitions to the adjoining residential neighborhood. While we are in favor of higher density housing, it should andcan be done in a way that does not harm the character of the city. The Ives harms this character. The entire processof The Ives' MSP has been rushed, as the errors and discrepancies in the plan demonstrate. As we grow our family in Bozeman, we also place a very high value on parkland and open space. Cash in the city'scoffers is great, but our we want our daughter to be able to play in open park space in the city. Given the city'strack record in approving high density developments without any open space, we have no confidence that the moneywould ever be used to that purpose for our neighborhoods. These applications should be revised to better fit the character and needs of our town. Please overturn them. best,Laura Burkle and Charlie DeTar312 N Grand AveBozeman, MT
