Parking - Simply, starting to charge for parking downtown would be a mistake. Having the free parking
encourages people to shop and spend downtown. I have lived where the parking required payment and
people would either not go downtown, walk, bike or find parking further away so as to not to pay. It is such
a "gift" to the downtown to have free parking .
