HomeMy WebLinkAboutBid - Story Mill Bridger Dr to Griffin Dr CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA Call for Bids NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Bozeman, Montana, is accepting sealed bids for: Story Mill Road: Bridger Drive to Griffin Drive Reconstruction, Stormwater and Intersection Improvements The City of Bozeman will receive online electronic sealed Bids for construction of the Story Mill Road: Bridger Drive to Griffin Drive Reconstruction, Stormwater and Intersection Improvements until 2:00 p.m. (local time) on March 16th, 2022 and then publicly opened and read aloud via an online meeting (details below). Project Description: Construction of a new two-lane roadway on Story Mill Road from Bridger Drive to Griffin Drive with curb and gutter, separated multi-use pathways on the west side, sidewalk on the east side, a traffic signal at Bridger Drive, lighting, stormwater and utility improvements. The project also includes construction of approximately 225 feet of Hillside Lane from Story Mill Road to the connection with the existing roadway. Access to all businesses needs to be maintained during the project. Access to Hillside Lane will need to be maintained during the project for residents and emergency vehicles. For this project, bids will only be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN. A contractor may view the contract documents at no cost prior to becoming a Planholder. Project bid documents and addenda must be downloaded from QuestCDN, which will add your company to the Planholder List and allow access to vBid online bidding, for the submittal of your bid. Forms for registration are available from the DLI, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. The CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project but must have registered prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and mechanics employed by the CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Gallatin County and the state of Montana. The City of Bozeman is an Equal Opportunity Employer. As such, each entity submitting under this notice shall include a provision wherein the submitting entity, or entities, affirms in writing it will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, or because of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or disability and which also recognizes the eventual contract will contain a provision prohibiting discrimination as described above and that this prohibition on discrimination shall apply to the hiring and treatment of the submitting entity’s employees and to all subcontracts. In addition, pursuant to City Commission Resolution 5169, the entity awarded a contract under this project and any subcontractors must abide by the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Section 39-3-104, MCA (the Montana Equal Pay Act), and affirm it will abide by the above and that it has visited the State of Montana Equal Pay for Equal Work “best practices” website, or equivalent “best practices” publication and has read the material. Each Bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Bozeman, Montana, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Submittal of this bid bond will be through QuestCDN. The original must be provided to the City of Bozeman after the bid opening but before the end of business on the third business day after the bid opening. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids.
