Dear Commissioners,
We are in this together. While I live in Belgrade rather than Bozeman, it's troubling to see azone map amendment before the city commission. Much of Gallatin County has an aversion to
zoning while many know it affords protection to the property owners and neighbors adding assurance that the zone has authority.
I serve on the Belgrade City-County Planning Board and these come before us from time totime. In a denser, older neighborhood of Bozeman, it unsettles everyone in the county when a
long-time zone determination is changed. Maybe the landowner wants that. This is a timewhen the neighbors legally have a say and the city has authority to deny it.
Please deny ZMA 21356 so everyone in the county has assurance that zoning carries authorityand is changed only when all parties want it and will benefit.
