I have concerns that charging for parking in downtown Bozeman will take away local business from the
small businesses downtown that rely on consistent revenue. While tourists may have no issues paying for
parking (as most work that into their budget when traveling), many local people are struggling to even pay
their rent. Adding a fee to park downtown will further discourage individuals from going downtown for
their nights out and goods and will instead turn to chain restaurants and online shopping.
