HomeMy WebLinkAbout016 EXPOSED WALL TREATMENT EXHIBITFigure A: The image above shows the south and east facade of the structure to remain at 17 W Lamme Street. The vignette shows the demolished portion of the existing structure at 15 W Lamme Street as white.
Figure B: The masking region indicates the portion of the existing structure that will be demolished following approval from a different perspective than Figure A.
Figure D: Depicts the reconfiguration of the east facade of 17 W Lamme Street to understand the proposed design intent. When the Deaconess Hospital is deconstructed, the applicant proposes to treat the exposed wall with brick, specifically selected to match the existing brick color at 17 W Lamme Street and align with the existing vernacular. The brick will be utilized to mimic the openings that may have appeared at that facade if it had not be built attached to another building in line with the fenestration seen on the other facades.
It is important to note, that given the unknown nature of this wall and age of the surrounding structure the design team would proceed with extreme caution. This design intent shown above is only preliminary at this point - and will not be able to be finalized until they better understand the conditions of the wall to be exposed following demolition of the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and the use of the building behind that wall.
