I am paying a ton of taxesnext to this property and providing affordable housing. I’m sick that this structure next door is allowed to continue to stand uninhabited! My neighbor literally told me ‘blame the city’! So I’m asking what can be done? This is gross and insulting to me and my neighbors. We have no plans for the park next to city hall at this time, however, we continue to explore improvements. As for the house on North Montana, I am not aware of any issues. We have policies and procedures in place to address abandon property. I understand you believe those policies are flawed, and according to your email, you have been in touch with Mr. Madsen to express your concerns. If the City Manager or Community Development Director recommends the commission consider changes to our policy, I will be happy to address those recommendations at a city commission meeting. Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts on these issues. Cyndy Andrus|Mayorcandrus@bozeman.netCity of Bozeman | P.O. I have two questions. 1) any plans for the park next to City Hall? I know there is a tree issue there and wondered how the city was planning on fixing it, but nobody will answer my question. 2) Are you aware of the house next door to my property on 320 N Montana St? Recently I spoke w the owner who said, as long as it is boarded up it’s fine, per City of Bozeman rules. I have spoken to Marty Madsen on many occasions about this house. Have you driven by? Per Marty, he is allowed to keep it this way until…… I think this is a flawed policy by the City and could set precedent for homeowners moving forward. It was sold as ‘not habitable’ and this has been almost 10 years. Why as a neighborhood would we want that? Why would I want to make any improvements to my property with this next door. Thanks, hope to hear from you. David Perlstein Sent from Mail for Windows 10 City of Bozeman emails are subject to the Right to Know provisions of Montana’s Constitution (Art.
