Dear Helena Commissioners:
I write to request that you deny approval for the proposed Canyongatedevelopment. Simply put, this is the wrong project in the very wrong place. The
development will significantly impact and complicate the human traffic at the
mouth of Bridger Canyon and well into the City, aggravate and negatively impact
the important foothill wildlife corridor and essentially negate the positive benefitsof the nearby Storymill Park conservation successes toward assuring a morewildlife-friendly environment.
I do not believe this development will provide for effective nor affordable family
housing. It is inconsistent with the surrounding land use and residential character ofthe area and will contribute an inconsistent and high volume of traffic to an areathat already struggles with traffic conflicts - notably the RR crossings on Rouse and
Griffin and the high volume of traffic associated with Bridger Bowl and seasonal
recreation in Bridger Canyon and the popular foothills.
Again, I ask that you vote to follow your Planning Commission's recommendation
and deny this project.
