Dear Council of Commissioners:
I am concerned about the upcoming decision on the planned development at the mouth of Bridger Canyon
on January 11. As a resident of Bozeman and Bridger Canyon I feel that the decision to approve high risehousing in an area of Bozeman would have a long range negative impact on the pristine area at the mouth of
the Canyon. The area is a wildlife pathway and provides Bozeman residents with opportunities to enjoy the
outdoors without the view of high rise apartments and other high density housing. We all are aware of the
increased traffic on Bridger Canyon Road. Bridger Bowl is busier now more than ever with the increased
population in Bozeman. More residents living at that entry point will accelerate the already present traffic
issues here. Additionally, the railroad pathway crosses at two areas on Rouse and Griffin Streets several
times a day. This certainly will impact the area and cause traffic delays.
I urge you to vote against this proposal and save what little Bozeman has left to enjoy.
Sincerely,
Lorilee Driscoll
