To Whom It May Concern, I know it is beyond the comment date but I wanted to have some input on this very important subject. I live in phase2 of the Bridger Creek Subdivision and I have lived at 3128 Augusta Dr since 2009. Much has changed in thedevelopment of this side of town since then but it has all been understandable and well planned. The most noticeable change has been the traffic on Bridger Dr. There used to never be a problem turning out fromStory Mill Rd. Now I wait considerably longer. The train has the line of traffic going into town backed up to Pandaand beyond sometimes. I find it crazy that the commission would allow Andy Holleran with HomeBase Partners to consider building whathe has done to our downtown in this part of our town. It has no “respect for the context” of this neighborhood orlandscape. Andy in his own words says that his projects are “transformative”. This is not the type of transformationthis side of town needs. High density in the form of the big gray boxes that he thinks and is trying to convinceeveryone else is desirable are not what fits. We want more neighbors not vacationers! I want to be able to see theBridgers as I drive home at night. Sticking 4 -5 story ugly buildings in this part of town will destroy the view shed. Remember the conflict of the radio tower off Birdie Ln. ruining the view shed? This is MUCH worse. I am also worried about the wildlife that lives in and around that property being forever displaced or worse. Therewere triplet deer fawns this past summer. I find it refreshing that the deer, turkeys, moose and bear have all foundways to live among us. Parking lots and high rises make that much less possible. Much of Andy’s argument for high-density urban infill is that it allows for residents to walk and bike to work, school , and whatever. I agree. The Canyon Gate project is not urban and should not be zoned for infill. It is densitysprawl that will only bring more traffic, less public safety and character degradation to a wonderful neighborhood. It saddens me to see Bozeman changing, but change it must, I understand. Please side with the residents, those of uswho chose to live outside of downtown; Who enjoy the view shed and the wildlife as it is. Deny Home BasePartners the ability to put their everlasting footprint on our side of town. Reel them in and encourage then to createa vision that we all can live with. Thank you!Amanda Smith
