HomeMy WebLinkAbout21- Memorandum of Understanding - BPPA, IAFF, MFPEA, & Teamsters - Recruitment & Retention Payment 2021MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN CITY OF BOZEMAN AND BOZEMAN POLICE PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS LOCAL 613 MONTANA FEDERATION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 2 The following Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is made this 6th day of December, 2021, between the City of Bozeman (“Employer”) and Bozeman Police Protective Association, International Association of Fire Fighters Local 613, Montana Federation of Public Employees Association, and Teamsters Local Union No. 2 (“Associations”) (collectively referred to as “Parties”). Parties agree that the Employer will provide the recruitment and retention incentives (described below) equally among all represented employees. Parties understand that the Employer will provide any incentives in accordance with internal policy. Parties further understand that the Employer retains the exclusive right to continue, modify, or cease incentives at any time, when applied unilaterally, at the Employer’s sole discretion. Incentives: 1. A retention payment of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for each employee employed on January 1, 2022, to be paid in mid-January, 2022. 2. A retention payment of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) for each employee employed (without resignation notice in receipt) on June 1, 2022, to be paid in mid-June, 2022. 3. A recruitment payment of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to be paid to all new employees hired on or after January 1, 2022. 4. Part-time employees shall be entitled to pro-rata payments of these incentives based on their full- time equivalent status. Parties understand this MOU will not be affected by any notice to bargain served and the terms and conditions will cease June 30, 2022.
