Feedback regarding the new parking portal.
I hope it is helping the City. As a user I find it as cumbersome as the previous system. It
requires as many or more keystrokes as before. It still doesn't allow me to put in anickname for visitors' cars, does anybody really know their visitors plates?
The rollout was poorly done as well. The first emails I got were indicative of a spam or scam
attempt. Unknown address with do not reply function sent multiple times. It wasn't until I gotthe attached email that I realized this was real. The link code was only good for one of my
permits. I have 3 (or maybe 6 according to the new system).
I have never received any responses from the City and don't expect one from this email but ifsomeone does, I would be curious of the need for, or the advantage of this new system.
Thanks
Bill Rea

Hello all,
Happy Holidays from the City of Bozeman Parking and Finance Divisions! In the last fewdays, the City has begun the implementation of our new Passport software for parking
permits and enforcement. We are very excited about the improved functionality of thePassport software for customers and staff alike. However, it will require some effort from
both customer and staff to make sure the platform is up and running.
First, you may have received an email, or a few emails, from passport to ask you to transferyour permit information using a link code. This email is legitimate and from our new
software provider. We encourage you to make this transfer as soon as possible. No permitswill be renewed in T2.
If you have a garage annual or monthly permit or a surface lot permit, you must renew your
permit in Passport before December 30th to avoid a citation.
If you have a residential permit, you will need to transfer your permit over to Passport nolater than January 15, 2022. Residential permit holders should not have to pay to transfer
their permits.
You can reach out to city staff at parkinginfo@bozeman.net or 406-582-2337 to assist youwith your permit transfer. If you have any comments about the new system, please send
them to our Economic Development Program Manager, Parking, Mike Veselik at
mveselik@bozeman.net.
