I have heard about the proposed demolition of a very important part of Bozeman's history - the old Bozeman
Deaconess Hospital on Lamme.
I am one of the fewer people that was born in that hospital and still in Bozeman today. I appreciate history- OUR
BOZEMAN history. To tear down this beautiful historical site would be to destroy a part of our great history. Why
would you want to do that? This history belongs to ALL of us.
And after reading what is proposed to be put up in its place I shudder.
I realize it is currently beyond use but why not build a project that keeps the front entrance . Why not make this
project to encompass AFFORDABLE for local Bozeman people -restaurants and senior care facility - upgrade what
is there. I am not a project manager by any means but as most of us already know Bozeman has become a VERY
unaffordable place to live thanks to all the over development. There is an opportunity here to KEEP a part of
Bozeman's history and help our own Bozeman people to be able to afford a place to dine or live.
Don't just DESTROY this building because you can. LISTEN to all of us. Do something BETTER than what you
are proposing. Do something for BOZEMAN Locals.
Thank you.
