Hello Bozeman City Commission and Sarah,
I own 2 houses on the corner of Peach and Ida, with my husband. I lived in one of thosehouses for 21 years. I have been fortunate to see our ramshackle neighborhood become more
beautiful and a cooler place to live. I fully support mixed use neighborhoods. Wild Crumb,Fink’s, and all the new cool businesses with many employees and customers all need parking.
Everyone who shares businesses and homes in the North East Corner of Bozeman all needgood parking for the long term future.
I would support the expansion to the Wild Crumb building and the property to the east, if you
require the developer to include 56 parking spaces within the footprint of the building.
We need to consider all of the current and future development that is planned in thisneighborhood, like the development to the north and west of the grain elevators on Ida, the old
Audrey’s building, the future plan for the Simpkin Holland property, (we’ve heard thatproperty sold and will get redeveloped), and the other long term future development of this
neighbor hood, (and all of Bozeman).
Currently there is not enough parking on Avocado St., (Mountain’s Walking), Peach St. (WildCrumb and Fink’s), and Wallace, (residential), and many other streets in this neighborhood.
All those businesses are great but it doesn’t change the parking issue. Please nip, the parkingproblem, in the bud, right now, and require developments to integrate adequate parking into
their building plans.
I would suggest the developers of this project consider adding "below ground level" parking,to the building plans, (in addition to the "above ground level" parking). I do not think your
committee should approve the size of this project if the developers cannot provide parkingwith in the footprint of the building. I think your committee should limit the size of the
development to 50% of 56 parking spaces or 30 parking spaces with in the footprint of thebuilding.
Thank you,
