I am a full-time Bozeman resident and Bridger Creek subdivision homeowner. While I support the
annexation and development of the parcel at Story Mill and Bridger Canyon Road, I do not support the
proposed high-density development of this area. Bozeman desperately needs more family-friendly housing
and adjoining open space for full-time residents and its native wildlife, not more luxury part-time condos
and boutique hotels for out-of-staters. There is already significant congestion in this area and the proposed
high-density development would further impede daily traffic flow--which the City will certainly fail to
address in a timely manner because of the overwhelmed state of its staff--exacerbating the already
hazardous conditions for motorists, pedestrians/cyclists, and emergency vehicles. The proposed
development is completely out of character for the area and also is contrary to the historic zoning and
planning of this part of Bozeman. Arbitrarily changing the way that the City plans, evaluates, and approves
changes to its zoning to accommodate one serial developer is destructive of property values, community
values, and any sense of fair play. I would ask that this proposal be denied and a message be sent that
Bozeman's soul isn't to be sold to the bidder who can generate the most profits.
