I think that Fred Wilson building that I lived at for five years (affordably) deserves better than
demolition. Remodeling and renovation would be much better to preserve what this is anaffordable living space, unique building and wonderful part of Bozeman history. I'll attach my
previous email.

Hi there first time commenting. Less than a year ago I used to live at 22
west Lamme, the old Deaconess Hospital (designed by local city son
Fred Wilson). I'm disappointed that the building is planned on being
torn down for a few reasons.
1. It will be replaced with NOT affordable housing units. My wife and I
had nice two bedroom apartment for $1100, We could bike or take the
Streamline to work. I doubt anything put there will go for less than 2.5k
a month.
2. That block has a unique feel. There's great trees and greenery on
the south side. There's amazing brick work on the exterior. Any
replacement will look just as dated as the 70s design of the medical
arts building nextdoor in a few decades. It'd be amazing and wonderful
if the current building was utilized in a similar way as how the armory
building was.
It was a cool and affordable place to live and I'd like whatever happens
there to also be a cool and affordable place to live. The medical arts
building can go through, but I'm concerned about where the VA clinic
will go (I use that and I don't want to have to go to Fort Harrison). I'd
love to talk more about this and my number is attached, I know you
don't have an easy job and I wish you the best of luck with your work.
Best Wishes
