Dear City Commission, I oppose the rezoning proposition of the 25 acre parcel known as the Canyon Gate Development. We all know Bozeman needs more housing, but the proposed density isinappropriate for this area. An R3 designation is the only appropriate rezoning that should be considered. REMU, B-2M and R5 are too dense for this area. The gateway to the BridgerMountains should not be a monstrosity of this size. I implore you to ponder the impacts on traffic, safety access, railroad crossings, lack of parkland due to fees paid, the surroundingneighborhoods and the wildlife corridor. Bozeman will continue to grow and be developed, but the vision that Home Base Partners has for this area does not coincide with thisneighborhood.
