Dear Commissioners please listen to the Citizens who live near the CanyonGate development.
Please listen to the community you represent. You know that there is widespread opposition tothis project. Will you go along with Hollorans continually strategy to paint every citizen as a
NIMBY?
Let's call a spade a spade! Holloran doesn't care about neighborhoods, citizen input andanyone in the City of Bozeman, for that matter. Will City Commission listen? Mmmm, I hope
so.. Could it be different now?
Holloran (sent here by HomeBase phoenix investors) and the SW Montana Building IndustrySWIMBIA labeled the folks surrounding the Black-Oive NIMBYs when the reality was we
had inside information and KNEW that the Black Olive was the first step in a long line ofneighborhood-devouring Holloran/HomeBase developments for which he and others had
plans. Of course, the Chronicle wouldn't report the story because SWIMBIA is the biggestadvertiser. Holloran and his phoenix-based investors are laughing all the way to the bank with
their high-priced residential/commercial developments which end up being 2nd homes forpeople who live here part time (helping our economy? helping downtown? Good for
Bozeman? No). These short term residents (trust funders, 2nd home buyers, wealthy retired, etc.) will have lots of time on their hands (on their limited visits) to wait for trains and deal
with long lines of traffic...while the neighborhoods and families living Full Time on that sideof town will have to deal with huge delays and increased traffic issues year round. Will these
units be affordable? No. Good development for who? Certainly not the long term residents ortaxpayers who have seen increase after increase in taxes since the tipping point Black Olive
was approved.
This development certainly is not for the people who need a place to live and can't afford tolive in Bozeman. Holloran owns Bozeman and he knows it and his investors know and the
Bozeman City Commission (of recent past) has let it happen.
Maybe it will be different this time around? Will you listen to the people and will yet anotherHolloran project be summarily approved while neighborhood and citizen concerns are
summarily dismissed?

P.S. Interesting how these big Holloran projects always come to the commission in the heightof the holidays during Summer season when everyone is busy, distracted or traveling.
