Dear City of Bozeman,
I am writing to voice my opposition to the rezoning of my neighborhood.
I grew up in Bozeman in the 1970's and am a homeowner in Legends for 12 years.
Please do not let HomeBase Partners turn our great neighborhood into a cityscape.
We enjoy the dark, quiet skies in the neighborhood and do not wish to have this turned into
downtown.
We see the other projects HomeBase has done to turn old neighborhoods into city life and
do not agree with the aesthetics you allowed to happen. Black/Olive is built up so it blocks
visibility and natural light.
None of their designs are interesting enough to stand the test of time.
The only people that spoke in favor of this Canyon Gate project are the ones who work for
HomeBase and will profit from turning our neighborhood into this type of 5 story buildings.
Not one of them revealed to the City Commission that they are actually affiliated with
HomeBase.
I watched these same people sway the City Commissioners at the meeting over Black/Olive,
standing up and telling the locals "If you don't like it, you can leave."
Please listen to the comments of people who actually live here and are not looking to profit
from rezoning Bozeman.
Deny the zoning requested!
