Drivers do no abide by the speed limits. There are student drivers, students walking and students on bikes. Cars are driving entirely too fast through that area. It is very unsafe. Our home is unfortunately north of the new development of Cottonwood/Harper Puckett and Flanders Mill is currently the route from our home to the school. It is nearly impossible to cross 4 lanes of traffic at 8am and 4pm. If Cottonwood is used from the south, you have to make a left with all of the oncoming school traffic. There needs to be crosswalks with flashing lights at these neighborhood intersections. The entrance/exit areas of the school are backwards which also causes disruption in the traffic flow. We experience a ton of traffic in front of our home currently due to people using our road from Valley Center to Baxter as a cut-across. This has caused a lot of unnecessary traffic in our neighborhood. There should've been a traffic study prior to all of this new development, and should be reviewed.
