I have several concerns regarding intersections around Gallatin High School. First, the intersection of
Flanders Mill and Oak street is an extremely high traffic intersection. Cars often forget to stop at the stop
sign going into Oak. I think a light or a round about would be a more appropriate traffic tool in this
intersection.
Secondly, I am a teacher at GHS. I have to walk across Cottonwood on Annie street everyday to get to work.
Many students cross this intersection to bike to CJMS or to Meadowlark. Cars do not stop for pedestrians at
this intersection. I would love to see one of those cross walk lights, like the one on Kagy by campus, so that
pedestrians can push the button to light up the crosswalk sign. Our children will walk to Meadowlark
eventually on this cross walk, and I'm very concerned.
