As property owners residing in the Legends Phase I development, we are submitting this petition in opposition to the
currently proposed zoning of the Canyon Gate development (Project #21337).
Although we support annexation and thoughtful development, the zoning designations requested of R-4/R-5/B2-M are
not in alignment with ALL goals outlined in the 2020 Community Plan.
We would like consideration of development zoning integration with the currently established development of R-1 and
R-3 residences. Lower densities and overall building heights would blend within the existing community. Additionally
we strongly feel that a buffer area should be implemented between the proposed development and the existing
community.
