We agree that the parcel should be annexed in to the City and developed, but not at theextreme urban density requested. The re-zoning of this parcel is totally unacceptable and not in tune with the surrounding area. Some of the reasons we oppose this project are: The high density will worsen the traffic in our area, causing safety issues as well as traffic congestion. It will also divert traffic into our quiet family streets that we enjoywith our family daily. There is no need for this high density commercial development in an area that is aneighborhood area, as well as a recreation and wildlife area. Zoning is not consistent with the existing neighborhood.Open space is below minimum standards and designed solely for drainage. The developer is planning on paying cash in lieu of open space and parks. Open space andparks is crucial to this area of Bozeman. This is not family housing, but luxury second home condos and commercial spaceThere is approved mix use commercial less than a mile away and more planned in the Stockyards. No consideration for the natural wildlife corridor between the story hills and Bridger Creek - we see wildlife daily in this area. This development will obstruct views of the Bridgers and the "M", replacing it with high rise buildings. This view is priceless and must not be blocked. We urge you as residents of this community to preserve the feel of our neighborhood, by ensuring that any development has much less density and much more open space. This is notdowntown Bozeman. When we purchased our home, we wanted to live on the outskirts of town and to enjoy the open space and views that come with living on the edge of town. Thisdevelopment does NOT fit! Thank you for your time and consideration of our views. Erika and Kase Cannon 2247 Bucks Run Ct.Bozeman, MT 59715
