I write to voice my concerns over the proposed annexation of the NE corner of BridgerCanyon and Story Mill by the HomeBase Partners. A) The area in question is saturated with housing as is. Considering that the property now under construction on the south side of Bridger Canyon, adjacent to the Story Mill Park, willsignificant affect traffic flow, an additional development will tax the already overburdened infrastructure. Without careful planning and foresight, Bozeman will lose its appeal as atourist destination and positive living environment. B) To date, the Headlands and Creekwood developments have protected significant areas of green space. Adding another developed property, without a significant increase in trails andpark-lands, will negatively effect property values and the appeal of Bozeman neighborhoods. C) If there is to be any new development in Bozeman, it should be affordable housing and not another luxury development. D) Building on the outskirts of Bozeman will continue to pull energy from Bozeman'sDowntown business. If we want to retain a vibrant business district on main street and its environs, we need to keep commercial businesses in the downtown area.
