To Whom It May Concern: I strongly oppose the development that has been proposed by Homebase Partners. Like many I agree that the parcel of land should be annexed into the city and developed, however not to theextreme that Homebase has requested. I have lived in the Legends neighborhood for six and a half years. During the time I have lived here, I have seen a huge increase in traffic on Rouse and Bridger Canyon Road and lots ofcongestion. My own husband almost missed the birth of our son because he got stuck behind a train jam. If a development the size of Homebase's proposal were to be developed in additionto the development at Story Mill, I fear that emergency services to our and surrounding neighborhoods would be greatly impeded. We feel very fortunate to live in a neighborhood with easy access to all that the CanneryDistrict and the other businesses just off of Bridger Drive. There is absolutely no need for more commercial businesses with the many offerings we already have and furtherdevelopments to come in the Stockyard area. I grew up in Missoula and have called Bozeman home for over twenty years now. During that time, I have seen this town grow and grow. Some changes have been good, others not... Withonly 2 acres of open space proposed for the development of Canyon Gate, Homebase has got it wrong. This development is not a good idea. Our community needs more family friendlyhousing for local Bozemanites, not high density part-time accommodations for out of staters. Please do the right thing - deny Homebase's proposed Canyon Gate. Thank You for Your Time, Mikal
