Members of the Zoning and City Commissions,
I am writing to express my support for the Canyon Gate project annexation and zoning as aneighbor and concerned member of the community. As you know thoughtful infill
development is the best strategy we have to responsibly accommodate the growth thatBozeman continues to experience.
I enjoyed following the progress of the Community Plan over the past two years and was
encouraged with the level of public participation and notoriety that the process received. Theadopted Plan's future land use designations for the property that is now known as Canyon Gate
signify the importance that the City has placed on this area and how it believes the land shouldbe utilized. The new traffic signal that was approved at the intersection of Bridger Canyon Dr.
and Story Mill road further supports the City's vision for this area.
The proposed zoning being requested for this project is aligned with the Community Plan'sfuture land uses and in the instance of R3 is the lowest density zoning criteria allowed in the
Residential Mixed Use future land use designation. As a neighbor I am supportive of thethoughtfulness of the plan and the consideration of the existing homes adjacent to the project.
