Dear Commissioners:
Please do not allow the current plans of Home-Base Partners to proceed.
Please don't overturn the existing zoning rules because of a perceived need for more
housing in Bozeman. That is not the right way to solve a housing shortage.To do that is to damage
Bozeman.
This proposed development would change the character of the neighborhood. This is a family
neighborhood with single family houses and a few town houses, one or two stories high at most. The
developer is proposing five story hotels, 60-foot high buildings looking down on the houses and 40,000
sq.ft. retail spaces.
This will damage the neighborhood. It will damage the access and egress to Bridger Canyon,
particularly during ski season. Wildlife will suffer. The water supply will be strained.
It won't be good for Bozeman.
Please have the developer work within the existing zoning ordinance.
