Dear Zoning Commission,
Three days ago, a young neighbor said to me, "don't bother writing the zoning commission, big money always wins". That's a sad commentary from someone who has grown up on
Hillside Lane, but it does make me ask, do they? Does HomeBase always get to buildwhatever development that is not in character with the land they buy (that is already zoned)? I
truly hope not.
Sure, the northside of Bozeman has always been a bit of a sacrifice area. From aslaughterhouse to industrial mill to Idaho Pole to storage units, etc. But please do not believe
that the residents of this community feel it is a place to be squandered. We have bears, mountain lions, turkeys, deer roaming. We have and protect a quiet and beautiful gateway to
Bridger Canyon. We have followed the zoning rules for our own homes. Please, please donot allow huge, dense, urban development on this property.
Thank you for your time and work.
