Hello!
I am writing as a resident who lives up Bridger Canyon in regards to the proposed development at Story Mill
and Bridger Canyon road under HomeBase developers. I am very concerned at a few parts of this proposal.
The high density proposed and high rise type buildings don't fit in with the surrounding area and are not in
line with the family neighborhoods surrounding the land. We need more affordable housing in Bozeman
not luxury apartments for part time residents.
The other major area of concern is how this would impact emergency services coming in and out of Bridger
Canyon. I am a volunteer member on the Bridger Canyon Fire Dept board and we are constantly monitoring
the time it takes for our volunteer fire fighters to respond to incidents and for emergency response to get
to things like vehicle accidents or home emergencies. More congestion in this area will absolutely impact
emergency services to the north side of town, including the canyon. Traffic is a major concern in this
corridor and between development and the train this will only continue to be an issue.
