Please consider the denial of the Canyon Gate Development as it is proposed. Several factors that
justify denial of this action include: traffic congestion (safety issues with the train crossings on Griffin
and Rouse, Bridger Bowl traffic); in-consistent zoning (the type of zoning being proposed is what N.
7th Avenue is, a commercial mixed use area – this does not belong at the mouth of Bridger Canyon);
scenic impacts to Bozeman/Bridgers; the density of what is being proposed doesn’t match the
surrounding land use/zoning; and there is inadequate open space proposed which is one of the most
valuable resources (trails, parks, etc.) in this area.
