Dear Bozeman Zoning Commissioners:
As a resident of NE Bozeman living on Bridger Drive, I want you to know
that our neighborhood
is suffering from excessive traffic and train delays as it is, and the citymust address those issues before
allowing more development in this unique and fragile canyon. I wait for up
to 20 minutes to make a right
hand turn out of my home on snow-day afternoons and every weekendafternoon during ski season. It is even more
precarious trying to make a left hand turn back into my driveway on the
single lane road.
We have not even seen the impacts of the arrival of the HRDC housingdevelopment and the estimated 100 cars
that will be driving on Bridger Drive once completed.The train issues and
45 minute waits that we already experience
will only worsen the bottleneck traffic we experience on a regular basis.Needless to say, the creeks and wildlife corridors
must be considered too.
I beg you to pause and commit to a thorough investigation of theinfrastructure needs of Bridger Drive and the impacts of the HRDC
development before allowing denser R3 and R5 zoning.
