Hello City Commissioners,
I’m writing today to oppose the current development proposal #21337 on the corner of Bridger Canyon
Drive and Story Mill Road. This 25 acres of land sits among 1 and 2 story residential homes and open space,
not retail, not hotels, not apartments.
To build a 5-6 story building of hotel and apartments and retail will radically change the quiet feel of this
part of Bozeman, obstruct open land for wildlife and drastically increase traffic, of which is already a
problem, and even more so with the train traffic.
Please consider a less impactful development, 2 stories with open space for people and wildlife and a
design that fits in with the neighborhood. This proposed massive development will not help our homeless
issue or affordable housing issue but instead add more high priced housing in a negatively impactful
location. Once it’s built, that land is gone, please consider this deeply. Thanks for considering my
perspective.
