To Whom it May Concern,
I oppose the high density buildings being considered for the intersection of Bridger CanyonRoad and Story Mill Rd. I agree the parcel should be annexed into the City and developed-but
not at the extreme urban density requested. There is already a lot of traffic during the skiseason making it difficult for residents to move in and out of the canyon. Traffic is already
very bad with the trains blocking the tracks. Traffic is regularly bumper-to-bumper along
Rouse, Oak, Bridger and Griffin when the trains are stopped. If there is an emergency inthe canyon, access for ambulance, police and fire will be compromised.
We do not need more shops and high-end condos in this area. There are plenty of
businesses along Rouse and Bridger for residents of this section to use.
I oppose any application to pay cash in lieu of the required open space/park requirement. This is an active wildlife corridor linking habitat in the Story Hill and
Bridger foothills with water in Bridger Creek and Rocky Creek. This unique attribute of
this particular location should be honored with appropriate swaths of open space and
park on this 24-acre parcel, just as all the other area neighborhoods have provided.
Please consider the quality of life in Bozeman when making this decision.
With respect,
Diane Dietsch
