I am writing in regards to a John Rosa application build #21259. I live on Cassandra Lane, perpendicular to Sherwood where the Rosa Apartments Phase 5 will be built. My duplex backs up to open park space that I have circled in blue on the maps attached to this email. This open space has a trail system that connects the Rosa Apartments to a larger park space just south. I believe the larger park space is called Flanders Creek (which the city takes care of now). The park space circled in blue had a sprinkler system installed, seeded and trail put in summer of 2018. It is my understanding that the city of Bozeman made John Rosa "complete" this park space before starting the Boulder Creek subdivisions. When it was first built it was beautiful but it has not been maintained and also parts have been ruined due to building. The sprinkler system has not been running for the last 2 years. Trees are dead in the boulevard due to lack of water. The grass is now more like hay. There are piles of wood and cement that are dangerous to child and pets. Noxious weeds are definitely a problem in the spring and summer in open park space and especially around mail boxes (west of open space that connect to Boulder Creek park- also a John Rosa project). All I ask is that before John Rosa gets full approval for Rosa Apartments Phase 5 that he has to clean up/ finish this open park space circled in blue. I have talked to many people about this open space and gotten little answers. Between Lindsey at Saddlepeak properties (who runs the Boulder creek and Traditions HOA) and Luke Klines with City of Bozeman Parks- no one really knew who is responsible for this open space. I do know it is part of The Traditions Subdivision phase 3 so before we move on to the new phase 5 apartments please please please make John Rosa finish what he started. I am all about growth but I don't like to see sloppy work left behind and new projects started. Thank you so much, Lyndsey Jourdonnais 406-539-7119
