STRATEGIC PLAN:4.2 High Quality Urban Approach: Continue to support high-quality planning,
ranging from building design to neighborhood layouts, while pursuing urban

connected trails and parks, and walkable neighborhoods.
BACKGROUND:In 2019, HPAB began working on the Fred Willson multiple property historic
district. COVID put it on hold but we are going to be picking this project back
up. A multiple property submission (MPS) is for a group of significant
properties that do not necessarily have to be located right next to each
other like how other historic districts are formed.
Fred Willson was an architect in Bozeman who designed over 300 properties
throughout Bozeman and the surrounding areas. Many of his projects
already are on the National Register of Historic Places.
