MEETING DATE:November 17, 2021 AGENDA ITEM TYPE:Citizen Advisory Board/Commission RECOMMENDATION:I hereby recommend approval of the October 20 meeting minutes. STRATEGIC PLAN:1.2 Community Engagement: Broaden and deepen engagement of the community in city government, innovating methods for inviting input from the community and stakeholders. BACKGROUND:None UNRESOLVED ISSUES:NA ALTERNATIVES:NA FISCAL EFFECTS:NA Report compiled on: November 9, 2021 3 Memorandum REPORT TO:Bozeman Historic Preservation Advisory Board FROM:Sarah Rosenberg, Associate Planner SUBJECT:Fred Willson Multiple Property Historic District MEETING DATE:November 17, 2021 AGENDA ITEM TYPE:Citizen Advisory Board/Commission RECOMMENDATION:NA STRATEGIC PLAN:4.2 High Quality Urban Approach: Continue to support high-quality planning, ranging from building design to neighborhood layouts, while pursuing urban approaches to issues such as multimodal transportation, infill, density, connected trails and parks, and walkable neighborhoods. BACKGROUND:In 2019, HPAB began working on the Fred Willson multiple property historic district. COVID put it on hold but we are going to be picking this project back up. A multiple property submission (MPS) is for a group of significant properties that do not necessarily have to be located right next to each other like how other historic districts are formed. Fred Willson was an architect in Bozeman who designed over 300 properties throughout Bozeman and the surrounding areas. Many of his projects already are on the National Register of Historic Places.
