Dear City Commission,
I don't want to create an account with the city of Bozeman.
Parking services seem to be an easy way to collect extra revenue from unsuspecting visitors/shoppers.
If Parking Services can send me a photo of my license plate for an "overtime parking citation", why can't
they just send me a bill and not a threatening, intimidating, letter demanding urgent payment within 3 days
or else?
It seems the City of Bozeman Parking Services knows about the only, outdated, parking kiosk that is difficult
to understand in the city parking garage. I'm certainly not the only unsuspecting shopper to be caught in
this revenue trap as the staff in the department is too busy to answer or return calls.
I was told by the clerk there is a staffing shortage in the Parking Services Department.
I can only suspect it's because of many confused, out-of-state shoppers like me not understanding or being
able to use the single, unsecured, kiosk.
We travel to Bozeman 4-5 times each year to see our grandchildren and shop downtown. I choose to park
in this garage because it has the only disabled parking I know of downtown.
Please update your disabled parking page on your city website and please update and add more secure and
easy-to-use kiosks.
I choose where to shop and eat.
