Third Ave, To: <trodgers@bozeman.net> Tom Rodgers, Senior Planner Bozeman City Office of Planning and Community Development Dear Mr. Rodgers, This letter is regarding the upcoming Growth Policy Amendment hearing Nov. 1 for application 21309, for the parcel located at 2303 S. Third Ave, in Bozeman (S24, T02, R05E, Tract in NE Cor NE4NE4 1.0 AC.). I've lived in the Figgins subdivision since 2003, and have witnessed the impact on my neighborhood and South Third due to a significant number of new housing units south of Kagy and excessive number of vehicles using South Third as well as Graf, Arnold and Westridge. The proposed amendment does not enhance the neighborhood and should be denied. Currently, it's very difficult to cross South Third on foot or bike even if using the crosswalks at Arnold or Graf. It's difficult to pull onto South Third from Arnold or Westridge during rush hour traffic. Adding multi- unit housing will simply add to the traffic problem, an increasingly dangerous problem. People try to avoid South Third and instead speed through Westridge, far exceeding the 15 mph park speed limit at Jarrett Park, far exceeding 15 mph the school speed limit around Morning Star School, and far exceeding the 25 mph on South Third and through the neighborhood. Figgins neighborhood suffers from overbuild, suffers from greed by developers. Please don't contribute to more negative impacts on the neighborhood. Please deny the zoning change. Sincerely, Jean Arthur-Sellegren 504 W. Spring Creek Dr. Bozeman, MT 59715
