To all concerned:
I am writing to voice my concerns on the Community Housing Levy, pushing my taxes up even further than last
year. Also the other two bonds which will not get my vote. It just adds more money to my taxes which is creating
huge problems to be able to afford.
I am a very RARE resident of Bozeman - BORN AND RAISED here. I have considered Bozeman my home for
many years. But now I am being pushed out of my OWN TOWN and STATE due to the current situation here.
Everyone one is talking about it. But who is going do TO DO something about it?
I am being forced to live on the edge, to be able to afford to stay in Bozeman. I have cut corners in ways I dare each
of you to attempt. My taxes went UP $300 last year from the previous year. I am forced to work at least 2 and or 3
jobs to make ends meet.
You want me to support the community housing levy when I can barely pay for my own housing? This is so absurd.
Why would I support that? We all know about homelessness and lack of housing. This is a problem. Why is this
problem not being addressed from the inner core of this problem rather than just build more buildings? Why are
there so many UNOCCUPIED owner properties in this county?
And I am but one person who is so struggling to stay afloat in Bozeman. This simply is not right.
Address the REAL inner issues, do not just put a band aid on a huge problem.
