There are 64"affected" addresses listed on the County's application.
Affected:
28 "affected" neighbors,those within 150 feet of the lot, oppose the zone change and
have signed the attached Protest.This number includes 22 full owners.The full owners
are marked with double boxes on subsequent pages.This is more than 25%,so the City
Commission will need a 2/3 supermajority to pass rather than a %majority.An
additional 3 said they opposed via e-mail but we could not get signatures sorted(yellow
boxes).This makes 30"affected"who oppose.
Non-Affected:
16 non-affected neighbors signed a protest opposing, and an additional 2 said they
opposed but we could not get signatures sorted (yellow boxes).While legally these do
not matter,they validate the trend that our community does not want high density
condo zoning.This makes 18"non-affected"who oppose.
I spoke to a total of 51 neighbors. Of those,48 opposed and 3 were in favor.95%of the
people I spoke to oppose this zone change.95%.The rest were not home when I
knocked or are rental owners and live in far-away places like CA,CO,TX,etc.
Conclusion:
1.The City Commission needs a 2/3 supermajority rather to pass this zone change.
2.95%of the people I spoke to oppose the zone change. It is hugely unpopular.
