Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Dear Susana, I am writing to ask that planning director Mr. Marty Matsen ensure that this residential development accepts and addresses to the fullest extent possible via City codes and laws, the neighborhood’s concern that parking along Wagon Wheel and on the streets of the Westfield Park is not provided in lieu of reduced sites associated with the development and in fact is prohibited and enforced. Additionally, it is important that walkable and bikable infrastructure be required that would connect the development with the infrastructure on South 3rd and Graff. I fully support the City’s commitment to reducing carbon pollution, density, retaining neighborhood character and to a walkable and bikeable community and am confident our new neighbors do also. However, if the City does not address the lack of multi modal infrastructure with this project and continues to subsidize motor vehicle infrastructure via on-street parking to the exclusion and detriment of the aforementioned values it will miss a real opportunity to live up to its stated values and goals. You must get serious and act on these issues or appear wholly disingenuous. Please address these concerns and before approving this development work with all involved to ensure that there is an equitable solution based on the stated goals of the City, the Westfield Park neighborhood and our new neighbors.
