Attachments: Park Report October 2021.pdf Swim Center October 2021 Update (002).pdf Report compiled on: August 27, 2021 7 2021-10-08 Current Parks Division Projects/Activities: Summer to winter transition • Winterizing irrigations systems • Winterizing water fountains • Closing down most restrooms for the season. • Trail work, bridge transitions, removal of wrong trail mix that was put at Tuckerman Park for an Eagle Scout project. The scout was working directly with GVLT and did not talk with us about what was the appropriate material to use. • Mulching leaves, blowing out leaves from tennis courts and Bogert Pavilion • Preparing machines & routes for snow removal • Taking down tennis & volleyball nets • Bringing in picnic tables • Takeover of all garbage and dog stations in Zone 2 that was previously being done by the Grounds Guys • Playground inspections & Repair • Removal of the floating dock at the Bozeman Pond • Continued work with GIS to fix and update Cityworks routes and saved searches • Takeover of Gran Cielo?? • Painting the trim around the building at South Side • Aerating sports fields • Fall fertilizer application • Finishing the CIP • New sidewalk install at the Sports Complex • Pickle ball courts being installed at Bogert • Ice rink and sound mitigation boards should be installed by the end of next month if not sooner • New FT Parks Division employee Magnus Martz started on Sept. 20th • 2 new FT Parks should be starting in the next 2 weeks. 8 Swim Center October 2021 Update Saturday swim lessons started this month. In addition the high school physical education classes begin October 11th. There are no scheduled closures for the month of October. 9
