Hi,
I wanted to express support for the Ives project (as well as the Henry). Bozeman clearly needs more
housing and converting a parking lot into a well-done, mixed-use development makes sense. I live in
the area and all the other recent, similar, mixed-use projects are welcome additions. We enjoy
walking to the commercial spaces below. We appreciate that they have replaced existing eyesores.
We prefer that this type of housing is being provided as opposed to urban sprawl. Every time I go
past one of the ugly parking lots near downtown, I wish it would be converted into underground or
nicely done, on-site, high-density parking with nice commercial spaces and residences above. We
need more, but hidden parking and to continue to develop downtown as a vibrant area with lots of
options. I would like Bozeman to stay as it was when I first moved here 20 years ago and I fell in love
with it. However, that is clearly unrealistic. We need these kinds of developments to move Bozeman
forward in the best way possible.
